Abstract
Eric, a Coast Guard aviator, is the son of CAPT Robert L. ("Bob") Storch, USCG Ret., graduate of the USCG Academy Class of 1965. Eric recounts his father's personal letter-writing campaign at Christmastime to all his classmates and their families, a tradition which he learned from the example set by his Class Advisor, CAPT Leslie D.("Les") High, USCG Ret. Eric continued that tradition - inspired by the example of his father and his father's Class Advisor, recognizing the powerful impact that personal letters could have on building and maintaining trust and personal relationships.
