Software Engineering: Bear Inspections App

Abstract

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy currently records three inspection types on different platforms, leading to data loss. Utilizing the software engineering design process, this project creates "Bear Inspection," a PowerApps-based application that centralizes grading data in SharePoint. This user-friendly app modernizes the process and improves data visualization for stakeholders. The team has designed a functioning prototype and is currently incorporating feedback from initial testing. While starting with room inspections, the project is expanding to include all academy inspection types on a single mobile platform.
